Words Matter.

Did you know?

Communicating is the single most essential element of any business transaction.

You could have a business doing nothing but giving away free gold bars from your home in the center of town. But without effective communication, no one will ever know. And your house will remain forever cluttered with all those gold bars!

Every step from describing your product or service in an advertisement, to answering customers’ questions, and closing a sale relies on clear and effective communication. Without that, your customers won’t know who you are, what you do, or where to find you. Are you ready to make sure you’re communicating effectively from every side?

The smartest business owners understand there are three types of communicating fundamental to online (and offline, for that matter) marketing:

Let’s talk

I always like to know about exciting ideas – especially when they’re fueled by passion and care. Ready to connect?

Message

What are the core values of your brand or business? What must your customers know straight away? What problem will your product or service solve for your customers? Your message is the beating heart of your business, and informs the language you use, the images you present and the ways you engage with your customers. Skillful communication of your message

  • builds trust

  • bonds customers for life

  • brings fresh eyes to your business constantly.

Language

What are the words we will use to describe you and your product? What are the words your customers use to describe and discover their own needs? Which queries or combinations of ideas will maximize every dollar spent on Google, Microsoft, and Facebook ads? Thoughtful and well researched word choices

  • elicit emotional responses from viewers which

  • drive clicks, contacts, and connections, that

  • convert.

Instead of assuming customers “know what you mean,” ensure they do by speaking their language.

Image

Whether your product or service is already highly visual in nature (real estate, fashion, photography services) or more nebulous and hard to pin down in a single JPEG (personal training, life coaching, house cleaning), selecting images and graphics that match your language and push your message supercharges the power of both elements. Customers react to discordant or sterile images, even when they don’t know they’re doing it. Visual harmony

  • amplifies trust,

  • triggers subconscious emotional responses, and

  • demonstrates your passion for your business before you’ve said one word.

Combining these essential ideas doesn’t have to break your budget

As a technically skilled and professionally trained graphic designer, and certified copywriter, analytics professional and Google Ads marketer, I am uniquely qualified to blend these three facets of communication into a useable and profitable set of tools for almost any contractor, practitioner, designer, or small business looking to drive clicks and convert those clicks into clients.

My favorite part is doing it all from behind the scenes and letting others’ personalities and products take the starring role. Check out some case studies that will show you how we might work together.

— HELENA P.
